Advanced Studies in Linguistics, Translation and Literature (ASLTL) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarship in linguistics, translation studies, and literature. The journal provides a forum for researchers, educators, and graduate students to share original work that contributes to both the theoretical foundations and the practical applications of these fields.
Focus and Scope: ASLTL publishes original research articles, review articles, short research notes, and book reviews on topics including (but not limited to) theoretical and applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, language acquisition and pedagogy, translation theory and practice, interpreting studies, comparative and world literature, and literary criticism. The journal particularly welcomes interdisciplinary work that connects these areas, and studies that engage with real-world language, translation, or literary practice.
Open Access Policy: ASLTL is a diamond open-access journal, providing immediate, free, worldwide access to its full content with no charges to either authors or readers, on the principle that making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), with no subscription fees and no embargo period.
Peer Review: All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts in the relevant field before an editorial decision is made, ensuring that published work meets rigorous scholarly standards.
Copyright Notice: Authors retain copyright of their published work and grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish it under CC BY 4.0. Authors are free to share and reuse their own work, including self-archiving in institutional repositories, with no embargo.
Publication Fees: ASLTL does not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, or any other publication fees, and readers are never charged to access content. Authors are never asked to pay at any stage of the submission, review, or publication process; any such request should be treated as fraudulent. See the journal's Publication Fees page for details.
Sponsorship: ASLTL is published by Translitera Press, which fully covers the journal's editorial, production, and archiving costs.
History: ASLTL was founded in 2026 to provide a dedicated, rigorously reviewed open-access outlet for scholarship bridging linguistics, translation, and literary studies — fields that are often served separately but share deep theoretical and methodological connections.
